March 16, 2020
Dear Aqua Sports Community,
Our swim school will close effective Tuesday, March 17th, until further notice.
For the last two weeks, we have struggled with the decision to remain open. We believed our swim facility would be a safe place for clients and instructors, so we followed the protocols set forth by our San Mateo County Health Officer, and continued lessons.
Our Health Officer’s most recent recommendation (Monday, March 16th) is to shelter in place at our homes, so we must now close the pool.
I hope the information below will help to answer questions you may have at this time:
“We decided to release our time slot before you made the decision to close, is my spot safe?” Please contact us, your spot is very likely still available. If you are certain you would not like to continue for the foreseeable future, please let us know so that we can officially release the spot.
“We cancelled our lesson in the last few days and were assessed a rescheduling fee. Will I still have to pay the fee?” Because our instructors were available for work the day that you cancelled, we will still assess the rescheduling fee. Please understand that we need to pay our instructors for their time.
We would like to sincerely apologize for our delayed response to individual calls and emails. We are working as fast as we can to relay accurate information to you.
We understand that the situation continues to change. Our office remains open so we are able to connect with everyone over the next few days and weeks.
Our website, aquasportsswimacademy.com, will be a source for updates. As we learn new information from the Health Officer, the status of our swim school will be posted on our website.
The plan for how to pick up where we all left off, and resume swim lessons, is in the works!
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. We wish you all good health and look forward to getting your swimmers back in the water when this order has been lifted
